Contemporary Art Quarterly will release four archives for four artists, four times per year. Each archive will be a collection of primary source material relating to a single artist: documentation of solo and collaborative exhibitions, interviews and artist writings, works exhibited in group shows, curatorial projects, performances, and anything else that constitutes a part of the artist's public activity. Our aim is to be as thorough as possible once we've selected an artist, acquiring material from as much of her history as possible. This material will be presented in a variety of forms, for example as a chronology, shuffled into a random sequence, or laid out in pages as a document. Each grouping of 4 artists will be selected in relation to each other, and their archives will be released simultaneously.
